In May 2025, a delegation of industrial buyers from the Middle East conducted an on-site visit to the HXH Steel warehousing and storage facilities. In the steel export business, seeing is believing. The clients wanted to move past paperwork and email offers to physically verify our immediate stock readiness, warehouse scale, and quality control processing before placing a bulk order for heavy steel plates.
The main focus of the warehouse tour was to evaluate our spot inventory of Heavy Steel Plates and Medium Plates, primarily focusing on carbon steel grades like ASTM A36 and Q355B. Because these plates are heading for heavy manufacturing and structural engineering projects in the Gulf region, surface quality and dimensional accuracy are critical.
The buyers didn't just walk around; they actively checked our actual material thickness using micrometers. We walked them through our grading setup, showing how we keep different batches separated by heat numbers and mill origin. We also detailed our processing capabilities, including our shot blasting and steel priming services, which remove mill scale and apply a temporary rust-preventative coating—a crucial step for materials that will be stored in humid port environments before fabrication.
The visiting team monitored our overhead crane operations and how we handle heavy loading without scratching or bending the plates. With direct procurement channels from first-tier Chinese mills like Ansteel and Baosteel, HXH Steel maintains a heavy physical stock to protect clients from sudden market price spikes and mill rolling delays. By verifying our physical tonnage and our heavy-duty sea packaging—including reinforced steel bundling and proper wooden dunnage support—the Middle Eastern buyers finalized the shipping slots for their upcoming project supply.
