After surface pre-treatment (cleaning, chemical conversion coating), one or more layers of high-performance liquid or powder coatings are applied on a continuous production line, followed by baking and curing. PPGI is manufactured on a coil coating line. The substrate (galvanized or Galvalume coil) is uncoiled, cleaned, and chemically pretreated (e.g., chromate or zirconium conversion coating). A primer is applied by reverse roller coating and cured in an oven at Peak Metal Temperature (PMT) of 200–230°C. Then, a top coat (polyester, siliconized polyester, PVDF, etc.) is applied and cured similarly. The coated coil is cooled and may be laminated with a protective film. The entire process is controlled to ensure coating thickness, adhesion (cross-cut test ≥ T1), and mechanical properties (bend, impact). Custom colors and gloss levels are achieved by selecting appropriate paint systems.
