Zn-Al-Mg Coated Steel represents the next generation of ultra-high corrosion-resistant coated steels. Based on pure zinc, its coating is scientifically enhanced with specific proportions of aluminum and magnesium. Through a synergistic effect, its corrosion resistance is 5-20 times that of conventional pure zinc coatings (GI). It features excellent self-healing protection at cut edges and scratches, along with outstanding wear and powdering resistance, offering a revolutionary solution for applications demanding extreme durability.

3-6 times more durable than standard galvanized steel.
Mg-rich oxides self-seal minor scratches and cut edges.
Superior Self-Healing at Cut Edges: The Magnesium element in the coating works synergistically with Zinc and Aluminum to form a dense, protective film at cut edges, effectively preventing rust spread on exposed steel base, offering advanced corrosion protection.
Extreme Durability and Environmental Adaptability: The dense and stable Zn-Al-Mg coating structure withstands severe corrosion from high humidity, salt spray, and ammonia, significantly extending service life for applications like solar mounting and coastal construction.
Thin Coating, Excellent Workability: While providing robust protection, it achieves required anti-corrosion performance with a thinner coating layer, reducing material consumption and ensuring the coating remains intact during complex processing like deep drawing and roll forming.
Green & Cost Optimization: Compared to traditional plating or painting, Zn-Al-Mg coated steel uses fewer heavy metals, aligning with environmental standards. Its extended maintenance-free cycle drastically lowers the total lifecycle cost.
Solar Power & Agriculture: PV mounting structures, greenhouse frames, silos.
Construction Industry: Roofing & wall cladding, light gauge steel framing (replacing GI), livestock buildings (resistant to ammonia corrosion).
Transportation: Automotive chassis components, truck body liners, highway guardrails.
Electrical Cabinets: Communication base station enclosures, electrical control cabinets.
Zn-Al-Mg coated steel is produced on a continuous hot-dip line with a ternary alloy bath containing zinc, aluminum (typically 1–11%), and magnesium (1–3%). The substrate is cleaned and annealed similarly to galvanizing. It is immersed in the Zn-Al-Mg bath at ~460°C. The coating is controlled by air knives to achieve the desired weight (e.g., ZAM80, ZAM120). The unique ternary eutectic microstructure provides superior corrosion resistance and self-healing properties at cut edges. The coated strip is cooled and may be passivated or oiled.
We implement strict EN, JIS, and enterprise standards. We rigorously monitor and test coating chemical composition, microstructure, and salt spray resistance (e.g., achieving over 1000 hours without red rust).
We offer diverse customization services:
Cut-to-length (sheets)
Slitting (coils)
Selection of different coating weights and composition ratios
High-standard anti-rust and anti-impact packaging is employed, providing extra protection for the hard coating surface. We work with professional and reliable logistics partners to ensure the products arrive safely at your designated port of destination. Shipments are available from major ports like Shanghai, Tianjin, delivering globally.
